Mr. Howard has committed himself to the practice of law as well as to service in the community. He is a veteran who served in the United States Navy Reserve for over a decade, and he contributes a significant part of his time and efforts toward community-oriented services. He was a former President of the Ventura County Bar Association, the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and the California Coast Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Howard’s Pro Bono and Community Service involvement include:

• Past President of the Ventura County branch of the Arthritis Foundation
• Lt. Commander United States Naval Reserve (1987-1999)
• Coach Varsity Football and Baseball Villanova Preparatory School (2003-2023)
